Protecting a property begins with understanding its vulnerabilities. Commercial buildings, industrial sites, warehouses, construction projects, residential estates, utilities, logistics centres, campuses and other facilities can contain security weaknesses that are difficult to identify from ground level alone. Traditional property security assessments normally involve personnel walking the site, inspecting fences, gates, doors, lighting, CCTV coverage and access points. These inspections remain essential, but they provide only a ground-level perspective. Drones provide an additional aerial view. The objective is to help identify physical conditions that may affect security and determine where conventional security measures should be reviewed. A drone can provide an overview of areas that may be difficult to see from ground level. Optical zoom allows detailed observations to be made from an appropriate stand-off distance.
